The Roaches & Lud’s Church
The steep crags and the dark depths
The Roaches are some of the steepest crags in the Peak District, rising 300+ m in less than a kilometre from the valley bottom. North of the Roaches, a giant landslip in the hillside has created a 100 m long chasm known as Lud’s Church. Both are a full joyous day of exploration.
